FAQ

Frequently asked

What does a private ski lesson in Willingen cost?
A private coaching lasts 2 hours and costs €120 for the first person, €40 for each additional person (up to 5, 6 to 8 on request). Special technique training is €160 plus €50 per additional person. See our prices.
From what age can children learn to ski?
Children can start from age 6 (age 5 by arrangement). In our own kids area with a magic carpet they learn playfully.
How quickly can you learn to ski?
In private 1:1 lessons many beginners feel safe on the slope after one or two hours, much faster than in a group.
Do you also offer snowboard lessons?
Yes. We teach private snowboard lessons from first slides to linked turns.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. Our own rental right by the lift has skis, boards, helmets and boots, perfectly fitted.
Where do the lessons take place?
Right at Am Ettelsberg 1 in Willingen (Upland), Sauerland, the most snow-sure resort near western Germany and the Netherlands.
Do I have to pay in advance?
No. You send a no-obligation request, we suggest a time and you confirm, without prepayment.
What is the difference to a group course?
In private lessons the instructor watches only you the whole hour. No waiting, no group pace, no strangers. Faster progress, more real practice time.
What should my child wear for the lesson?
Warm ski trousers or waterproof winter trousers, waterproof jacket, base layer, thick ski socks (no cotton), warm gloves, helmet (available for rent) and ski or sun goggles. No scarf. Gear rentable on site.
What happens in bad weather or lack of snow?
In storms, heavy rain or slope closures we cancel and you pay nothing. Light snow or fog is normal ski weather.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes, just get in touch. We share the cancellation terms with your confirmation. If you are ill or something comes up, we find a fair solution.
Can I get a slot at short notice?
Usually yes, even same-day or next-day. Weekends and holidays are tighter but we try to make it work. Chat or request, we often reply within an hour.
Can our whole family have one lesson together?
Yes, that is the beauty of private lessons. One instructor for the whole family, everyone at their own level. Small surcharge from the second person onwards (see prices).
Do you offer snowboard lessons for kids?
Yes, we recommend snowboard from age 7 or so. Younger is possible but physically demanding. Skiing from age 6.
How many lessons do beginners need?
For the first safe turn usually one double lesson is enough. For confident blue-run skiing, two to three double lessons over two to three days.
Do your instructors speak German, English and Dutch?
German always, English mostly, Dutch with some. Tell us your language when requesting, we match the right instructor.
How do I get there and where do I park?
Am Ettelsberg 1 in 34508 Willingen. Parking at the door, lift right next to it. About 90 min from the Ruhr, 2 hours from the Netherlands.
